What is the witness's opinion on the new section 43D(1)(c), which refers to the use of biometric identification being "connected" to the investigation of an offence. In my opinion, it is a bit vague. It is quite weak. Perhaps a better wording would refer to such use being "likely" to assist in the investigation - in questioning, in revealing suspects or in discounting persons - rather than being "connected" to an investigation. Does the witness think that it is strong enough in the heads of Bill or should it be strengthened somewhat?
