Interestingly, the week before last we met a parliamentary delegation from Türkiye. When here the delegation discussed the forthcoming elections but, sadly, catastrophe struck. We should monitor the situation, particularly humanitarian aid to Syria because that is a troubled country. An earthquake is a humanitarian issue, so it is probably something we should monitor from an EU perspective.
