We have heard this story about An Post’s software about ten times now. The Minister of State told us that there are around 20 people in An Post who will physically pick up the mail and sort and match it if the software does not. The Minister of State has said that next-day delivery cannot be guaranteed if the system only uses Irish addresses. If enough people were provided by An Post to manually sort the mail, why could it not guarantee next-day delivery where only Irish addresses were used?
