The planning guidelines for rural housing are nationwide and across the board. We could not do that without addressing the Gaeltacht issue separately and specifically because it would be an outstanding matter. We need to undertake this process separately to identify what is appropriate for the same considerations but within the Gaeltacht areas. This is very useful and is almost moving ahead of the single houses part of the rural housing guidelines. The ultimate aim is to have an updated set of rural housing guidelines this year but also to have, in due course, a more specific set of guidance on Gaeltacht planning matters generally, which also extend beyond housing.
