No. The 2% that is registered as speaking Irish on a daily basis is quite small, as the Deputy will know. We do not have any forensic statistics. The objective is to protect the linguistic and cultural heritage of the Gaeltacht, including the promotion of Irish as a community language. I am not sure if any other local authority has gone into that detail.
