I concur with that. We have had projects coming through in terms of cycle lanes and various projects in the city. It is important that cities compete. It is also important that we get synergy between cities outside of Dublin. Cork, Limerick and Galway need synergies. We talk all the time about balanced regional development but all that has happened is that Dublin has got bigger. If we are serious, it is important to have a network through which we can get synergies. We need links in terms of motorways. A motorway between Limerick and Cork is the missing piece of the jigsaw. We can beg to differ on a number of issues, but such a motorway would provide bypasses and synergies in terms of traffic times, speed times and safety between cities.
