On my second question on the independent record, will the most up-to-date technology be used on the recording machinery? In the past, I have found that the recording systems inside Garda stations, for example, have been almost out of date by the time they have been installed. It is important that there would be very up-to-date recording machinery.

On the first question, does the Department anticipate that the code of practice will be available prior to the legislation being put to a vote in the Dáil?
