Central Bank of Ireland: Discussion
Mr. Ed Sibley:
There are very clear responsibilities, notwithstanding what has been said about the shareholding, for the board and the executive in running any company. We are very clear about their responsibilities to ensure they run it effectively, in line with our expectations and in compliance with the necessary regulations. Clearly, there is further strengthening to be done there but, notwithstanding the shareholding, there are very specific obligations on the board and the executive of the firm.
