The element that gives us some difficulty is that we do not routinely measure the amount of services provided through Irish without any particular intervention. For example, Ms Joyce and her colleagues routinely provide services through Irish but we do not measure the extent of those services. Similarly, we do not measure the extent of the interaction through Irish in our offices in the Gaeltacht, in Ros an Mhíl and An Daingean. It is difficult to quantify.
