Joint Oireachtas Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform, and Taoiseach
Resolution of Non-Performing Loans: Discussion (Resumed)
10:00 am
Mr. David Hall:
If one gets a letter from one's bank putting one into a tracker redress scheme and giving one money, it has admitted it was wrong. Let us be very clear about that. It does not comment on a case-by-case basis. With regard to the four people who appeared before the committee, it is absolutely outrageous that this conversation is being continued here. Those individuals have financial recompense from the banks, which is an admission that the banks have done wrong. It is simple.
