To be helpful, because I was going to raise this but Deputy O'Brien is so far down the line he might as well cover it, Dr. Hickey wrote to Grainne Flannelly on 11 July and stated:

Dear Grainne,

On further reviewing the letter that you sent down to us with respect to an audit of the cervical smears on cancer patients you highlighted just three that you felt should be considered for recall on discussion ... We are just highlighting this discrepancy in the details that you sent us and wonder could you further review the other cases to ensure that there is not any other discrepancy that arises.

When she wrote back a month later she said she could not tell him because they had shredded the files.
