Mr. Deering mentioned the Central Bank and Financial Services Authority of Ireland (Amendment) Act which was enacted in July. I am interested in finding out how affective the legislation has been and how the office has utilised the new powers given to it under the Act. He mentioned that it extends the period during which consumers can take complaints to the office, and allows the office to direct compensation of up to €250,000 and the reinstatement of a tracker rate. Can Mr. Deering tell me, in each of the categories he mentioned, how many times he has used the new powers granted to his office under the new Act? Admittedly, there has been a relatively short time between the enactment and now.
