The only records relate to a committee that was set up at the time under the chairmanship of Senator Maurice Hayes, who was tasked with the job of ensuring the various elements of the 2005 Act were introduced. My information in respect of the financial aspects is that his main concern was to ensure the Garda had proper and appropriate resources on the financial function in terms of internal auditors and all the matters going with that.
