I thank the Cathaoirleach for the opportunity to meet with the committee today to discuss the topic before us. My colleague, Paul Hogan, will go through some of the issues relating to the spatial strategy and the national planning framework and then I will revert to some of the issues around housing and rural development in the latter part.
