That is my point. During my 13 years in politics, there have always been questions about the figures produced by An Garda Síochána. The Garda is the source of the data. If there is an issue with the production of the information, it makes no difference how trustworthy the CSO is, it will not be able to interpret the data accurately. I accept the Commissioner's point and I understand the basis upon which she makes it. I am sure that Deputy Commissioner Twomey is doing his best. However, the bottom line is, if the information is tainted, how can we trust it?
