The Department tells us it has about 300 staff and would prefer that figure to be close to 330. Clearly there are other large bodies under the remit of the Department such as the Revenue Commissioners, the Central Bank, the Irish Bank Resolution Corporation, NTMA and NAMA. What is the Department's involvement with these bodies day to day? They are under the Department's remit but are somewhat independent or to a greater extent are quite independent.
