Research has been carried out. The research I am aware of is by the Family and Child Psychology Research Centre at City University London. It carried out research into surrogacy. It is the most recent research in the United Kingdom of which I am aware. It was carried out by Susan Golombok and Fiona MacCallum. They looked at the motivations of surrogate mothers and the well-being of children and the commissioning parents following surrogacy. That is the research on which I base my submission.
