I appreciate that there is nothing that can be done about this provision. I disagree, however, that to be at once pro-life and to have concerns in this regard is a bizarre position to take. To put it simply, any such concern is borne out of one's humanity. While people might not agree with abortion, they certainly understand the reasons women find themselves considering whether to take that road and they have compassion for these women. It is not a case of lock the harlots in the cellar and throw away the key. We are a compassionate nation.
