653. To ask the Minister for Education and Skills the number of new apprenticeship registrations in 2023 and to date in 2024, by type and by year in tabular form. [22422/24]

The total apprenticeship registration for 2023 was 8,712. A total of 2,599 apprentices have registered up to end April 2024.
The table at the link sets out a breakdown of new apprenticeship registrations by programme as at end-year for 2023 and up to 30th April for 2024. The programmes are further segregated into Craft and Consortia-led.
