Employees in the public health sector are paid in line with the Department of Health consolidated salary scales which are available to view online here: www.gov.ie/en/publication/150f8-1-january-2024-pay-scales/

All grades in the public health sector are paid in excess of the national minimum wage, and receive pay increases as set out in the public service agreements and associated Acts such as the Public Service Pay and Pensions Act 2017.

While workers employed in the health sector via an employment agency are not direct employees of the public health sector, I can confirm that Part 2 of the Protection of Employees (Temporary Agency Work) Act 2012 provides that they are entitled to the 'the same basic working and employment conditions as the basic working and employment conditions to which he or she would be entitled if he or she were employed by the hirer under a contract of employment to do work that is the same as, or similar to, the work that he or she is required to do during that assignment'.
