460. To ask the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth if he will direct that the CEO of Tusla accedes to a request for a meeting from a not-for-profit children's health advocacy group (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20516/24]

As you may be aware, section 8 of the Child and Family Agency Act, 2013 provides that Tusla 'shall be independent in the performance of its functions'. As such, meetings for the Tusla CEO would be a matter for the CEO herself to consider. However, we have taken the opportunity to inform Tusla of your parliamentary question.
I understand, however, that the issue highlighted would more likely fall under the remit of the Department of Health and the Health Service Executive as it seems to be a matter of public health and health promotion.
