To ask the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform the reason interviews for a position (details supplied) which is to be located in Galway and where all the applicants come from the region, are being held in Dublin, thus adding unnecessarily to the national carbon footprint and causing cost and inconvenience to the applicants and most interview panel members; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Public Appointments Service have informed me that the interviews for the position the Deputy refers to are being held in Galway, and that the client was informed of this on 9 April.
