340. To ask the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform how his Department checks the adherence of companies to the requirement as part of Brexit that UK companies are entitled to tender for public procurement contracts but they must be in compliance with EU legislation, as it is clearly outlined that the onus is on these companies to ensure their compliance; and if he will make a statement on the matter. It is the responsibility of each contracting authority to ensure that their procurement process is compliant with EU legislation. The Department does not have an oversight or governance role.
