470. To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality the process by which a person who is not currently in Ireland and is in need of international protection would apply for asylum in Ireland; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [6521/24]

Under section 15(1) of the International Protection Act 2015 a person must be in the State or at the frontiers of the State to make an application for international protection here.
