49. To ask the Minister for Housing, Planning, and Local Government if he is aware of delays with Residential Tenancies Board issuing confirmation letters to tenants on notice of terminations submitted to them by landlords; the delays without receipt of confirmation for tenants to get their notice of termination validated by Threshold; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Residential Tenancies Board (RTB) was established as a quasi-judicial independent statutory body under the Residential Tenancies Acts 2004-2022 (RTA), to operate a national tenancy registration system and to facilitate the resolution of disputes between landlords and tenants and as such the issue referred to is an operational matter for the RTB. My Department is not aware of the issue referred to.

Arrangements have been put in place by all bodies under the aegis of my Department to facilitate the provision of information directly to members of the Oireachtas. This provides a speedy, efficient and cost effective system to address queries directly to the relevant bodies. The RTB has a dedicated email address for this purpose and may be contacted at: OireachtasMembersQueries@rtb.ie
