To ask the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth the actions he has taken, or if he has plans to develop clinical guidelines, along the lines of those developed by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence in the United Kingdom, for undertaking an autism assessment and ensure that they are adhered to by professionals within the public health sector and the private health sector. As this question refers to service matters, I have asked the Health Service Executive (HSE) to respond to the Deputy directly, as soon as possible.
As the Deputy may be aware, the industrial action that commenced on Friday 6thOctober, by management and administrative grades in Fórsa Trade Union in the HSE, will impact on the response times to Parliamentary Questions and Representations.
