To ask the Minister for Housing, Planning, and Local Government to provide details on the actions he has taken to address the Committee on the Rights of the Child's concluding observations on the combined fifth and sixth periodic reports of Ireland recommendation 18 (d): Act on the State party's previous commitments to hold a referendum on lowering the voting age to 16 years and ensure that a decision to lower the voting age is supported by active citizenship and human rights education, and measures to prevent undue influence; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
