To ask the Minister for Health the rationale behind the policy of allowing only one funded respiratory mask per annum for people suffering with chronic respiratory disease and using BiPAP machines; if there is a process for application for replacement masks if it is the case a replacement is necessary; if there is a process of reimbursement for the substantial cost of €250 in cases where patients have had to pay to replace a mask themselves; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
