107. To ask the Minister for Housing, Planning, and Local Government further to Parliamentary Question No. 362 of 20 June 2023, if he will provide a precise list of "key stakeholders" and other “organisations of interest within the game shooting fraternity” that have been invited to engage the National Parks and Wildlife Service as part of the review and public consultation process; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The online public consultation, that was carried out as part of the review of the birds Open Seasons Order, was available to any member of the public or any organisation with an interest in the subject matter. The consultation was advertised widely and had a large response rate.

A separate in-person stakeholder forum was held. Representatives from a wide range of cross cutting stakeholder groups were invited and attended the forum: National Association of Rifle & Gun Clubs (NARGC); European Federation for Hunting & Conservation (FACE); Country Sports Ireland (CSI); Countryside Alliance Ireland (CAI); Irish Country Sports Association (ICSA); Irish Creamery Milk Society Association (ICMSA); Irish Farmers Association (IFA); Irish Cattle & Sheep Farmers Association (ICSA); Irish Natura & Hill Farmers Association (INHFA); Birdwatch Ireland; An Taisce; Irish Environmental Network (IEN); Irish Wildlife Trust (IWT); Heritage Council; Chartered Institute of Ecology & Environmental Management (CIEEM).
