To ask the Minister for Health when funding will be provided for much-needed equipment for a resident (details supplied) in a nursing home in County Mayo in view of this person’s condition and the fact that residents in public nursing homes are provided with this funding for equipment if it is required; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I propose to take Questions Nos. 591 and 686 together.
As the Health Service Executive (HSE) have responsibility for the provision of aids and appliances under the Community Funded Schemes, I have asked the HSE to respond to the Deputy directly, as soon as possible.
