To ask the Minister for Health in relation to the representations he has received on behalf of a person (details supplied), if he or the HSE can provide assistance to this person to avail of treatment abroad which he believes would be beneficial to his health condition; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As Minister for Health I do not have a role in providing assistance to avail of treatment abroad for individual patients. As this is a service matter, I have asked the Health Service Executive to respond to the Deputy directly, as soon as possible.
