To ask the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth the way he plans to deal with an issue in relation to autism (details supplied); the steps he is taking to reassure persons with autism and their families in this situation; if the diagnosis continues to be accepted by State authorities; if are there are plans to reassess those who were diagnosed by a psychologist; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As this question refers to service matters, I have asked the Health Service Executive (HSE) to respond to the Deputy directly, as soon as possible.
