To ask the Minister for Health if he will allow persons with dependent children who held a medical card prior to qualifying for the widow's, widower's or surviving civil partner's (contributory) pension on the death of a partner or spouse to retain the medical card for three years if they subsequently take up new employment; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
