This question relates to files provided to the Mother and Baby Homes Commission in the course of its work. I do not consider it appropriate to release sensitive personal information of this nature in response to a Parliamentary Question.

As the question relates to the release of records, the Deputy may request access to these records under the Freedom of Information Act. The FOI process ensures that proper consideration is given to the rights of individuals, in addition to the public interest and the right of the public to access information, before a determination is made as to whether a record should be released.
