226. To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the additional resources that will be provided to approved driving instructors to respond to the influx of Ukrainians applying for essential driver training; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18369/22]

Approved driving instructors are not employed by my Department or the Road Safety Authority. As independent operators, individual driving schools and instructors are best placed to determine how best to meet demand for driving lessons.
