To ask the Minister for Housing, Planning, and Local Government the number of Rebuilding Ireland Home Loan applications, approvals and drawdowns in each month from January 2020 to October 2021;and the total value of the applications, approvals and drawdowns by local authority area and with an average approval and drawdown figure for each local authority in tabular form. The Housing Agency provides a central support service that assesses applications for the Rebuilding Ireland Home Loan on behalf of local authorities and makes recommendations to the authorities to approve or refuse applications. Each local authority must have in place a credit committee and it is a matter for the committee to make the decision on applications for loans, in accordance with the regulations, having regard to the recommendations made by the Housing Agency.
The most recent figures provided by the Agency on the numbers of applications that it has assessed for each local authority, from January 2020 up to the end of October 2021 are set out in the below table:

Local authority approval means that an official letter of offer has been sent to a borrower (and therefore relates to a specific property and loan amount).
