135. To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if urgent consideration will be given to concerns in relation to delays in persons being issued with their first learner permit due to unacceptable delays in processing applications due to technical issues on the NDLS site; and if he will make a statement on the matter. All enquires relating to driver licensing are handled by the National Driver Licence Service (NDLS), the provision of which I have delegated to the Road Safety Authority (RSA) under the relevant legislation. I have referred the Deputy's question to the Authority for direct reply. I would ask the Deputy to contact my office if a response is not received within 10 days.
