Verified emissions from the West Offaly (Shannonbridge), Lough Ree (Lanesborough) and Moneypoint power stations are reported on the EU Transaction Log (). The following table details the total verified emissions for the three installations for the years 2016 to 2018 (the most recent year for which verified data is published).

The Government's Climate Action Plan published in June 2019 states thatto meet the required level of emissions reduction by 2030, Ireland will deliver an early and complete phase-out of coal by 2025 and peat by 2028. ESB announced on 8 November 2019 that the West Offaly and Lough Ree power stations will cease generation of electricity at the end of December 2020.
