The application for Illness Benefit from the person concerned has been processed and he has been awarded Illness Benefit at the maximum rate of €203 per week. All arrears due to the Person Concerned have been issued to his nominated Post Office.

He is currently medically certified as unfit for work until the 4th November 2019.

If the person concerned remains ill and unfit for work, a further medical certificate should be submitted to the Department as soon as possible in order for further payments to issue.

I trust this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
