To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the specific grant schemes provided to support agrifood festivals that promote tourism and Irish food locally and to an international audience; the dates in 2019 these funding schemes will be open for application; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Funding was provided by my Department for agri-food tourism projects in 2018 under the Rural Innovation and Development Fund. The funding was aimed at initiatives which promote and develop agri-food tourism in rural areas. A decision regarding the availability of funding for 2019 under this initiative is expected shortly. Subject to approval, the scheme is likely to open for applications in the second quarter of the year.
