To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the extent to which a study has been carried out of the public transport sector in County Kildare with particular reference to the need to address any deficiencies in respect of daily frequency of rail and bus services; and if he will make a statement on the matter. To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the degree to which the increased requirement of the Kildare commuter rail sector continues to be monitored to ensure the availability of the highest possible quality of service to meet the needs of commuters on an ongoing basis; if extra rail carriages need to be provided to alleviate potential overcrowding; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
