446. To ask the Minister for Health if he met with the Health Service Executive regarding the deaths of two babies at Cavan General Hospital in May 2016; when these investigations will be completed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15873/16]

I would like to express my deepest sympathy for the families concerned.
I can confirm that I have met with the HSE in relation to recent perinatal deaths at Cavan General Hospital and have been assured that reviews, as necessary, are under way. These reviews will be completed as early as possible.
