83. To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Social Protection the status of an application for carer's allowance by a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [44679/15]

I confirm that the department received an application for carer's allowance from the person concerned on the 13 October 2015. The application is currently being processed and once completed, the person concerned will be notified directly of the outcome.

I confirm that the person concerned has been in receipt of Carer's Benefit for the maximum period of 104 weeks from 5 December 2013 to 2 December 2015.

An application for carer's allowance from the person concerned was received on 14 October 2015. The application is currently being processed and, once complete, the person concerned will be notified directly of the outcome.
