It is the policy of the Department of Defence to charge a minimal fee for the use by organizations of Defence Forces facilities. The playing pitch in Cathal Brugha Barracks is used on a regular basis by several local schools and clubs who pay an annual fee for the use of the facilities. I am aware that a request for the use of the playing pitch has been received in my Department from Rathmines College . I have been advised that my officials have been in contact with the College in recent days to discuss their requirements with them with a view to reaching agreement on the use of the playing pitch.
