The purpose of Tús is to support the work-readiness of people who are unemployed for a year or more. At the end of May, some 4,330 participants and 225 supervisors have been engaged in the provision of services to their communities. Currently, the conditions for recruitment and entry to community employment do not provide that a person who has been engaged on a Tús work placement is eligible.
