Question 661: To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if complaints have been received by him regarding public works potentially being carried out by contractors operating in the black economy; the number of complaints that were upheld; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am not aware of any complaints being received by my Department regarding public works potentially being carried out by contractors operating in the black economy. Payments made by this Department adhere to the Department of Finance guidelines in relation to tax clearance certificates/C2 forms being provided by suppliers/Contractors.
