Question 36: To ask the Minister for Education and Skills the expenditure profile, both current and capital, for his Department for 2011 up to the end of August; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25228/11]

Overall expenditure on the Education & Skills Vote of â¬5,251 million to end-August 2011 was running â¬66 million, or less than 1.2%, behind Profile. Current Expenditure of â¬4,977 million was running â¬71 million behind profile while Capital Expenditure of â¬274 million was â¬5 million ahead of profile. At the same time last year overall expenditure was also running some 1.2% (â¬65 million) behind Profile.
The situation regarding expenditure will be monitored very closely by my Department over the remaining months of this year.
