Question 52: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade if he has identified the Irish passport holders who were victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks in the United States; and if he will make the names available to the public; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I can confirm to the Deputy that consular assistance was provided, if sought, to the Irish citizens or their families that were the victims of the 9/11 terrorists attacks in the United States. However, as I am sure that he will appreciate, it would not be appropriate for my Department to disclose or publicise any personal information in relation to those citizens without their or their families express permission.
