Question 743: To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the way he intends to capitalise on the recent successes of Irish professional golfers on the international stage; if, in view of Darren Clarke's victory at the British Open, there are now any plans to increase funding for Tourism Ireland's â¬2.2 million marketing campaign which was created following Rory McIlroy's recent success; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The matter raised is an operational one for Tourism Ireland Limited, in the first instance, as the body responsible for promoting the island of Ireland as a visitor destination overseas, working together with Fáilte Ireland and indeed the Northern Ireland Tourist Board where appropriate. I have referred the Deputy's Question to Tourism Ireland for direct reply. Please advise my private office if you do not receive a reply within ten working days.
