I am assuming the Deputy is referring to the total senior and subordinated bonds in the covered institutions. On 1 April 2011, the Central Bank published the total senior and subordinated debt issuances by those banks covered by the Guarantee as at March 2011. This information is available on the Central Bank's website at www.centralbank.ie. The total value of bonds as at March 2011 was â¬64,326 million.
The Central Bank of Ireland has advised me that as at 6th May 2011, the total value of bonds outstanding with the six banks covered by the Guarantee is â¬62,517 million.
